The Australian Federal Police faces the rapidly changing environment of law enforcement for Australia.  In our small but important role, QinetiQ Consulting is a "silent partner" in the provision of strategic and general procurement and contracting advice.  Our activities to support AFP are confidential - in the interest of national security - but we can reveal our collaborative work with the Special Operations Support Team Project to conduct an audit on major equipment purchases and provided recommendations for improved AFP's governance in project management.  In addition, QinetiQ Consulting has provided procurement services to the AFP in the provision of card and courier services, and contract and project management in the implementation of a mobile and satellite telecommunication service.
