Rapid Protoyping, Development & Evaluation

Defence's Rapid Prototyping Development and Evaluation (RPDE) Program is a collaborative partnership between Defence and Industry whose mission is to "Enhance the ADF warfighting capacity through accelerated capability change in the Network Centric Warfare (NCW) environment."  Currently comprising over 130 companies and academic organisations, RPDE is a 'virtual company' operating much like any organisation in the public or private sector, controlled by a Board of Directors in the interests of stakeholders.

To that end, the RPDE Program engages people, facilities, technologies and other context information from industry participants and Defence.  With these resources, RPDE addresses high priority NCW problems and opportunities from the Defence Steering Group, and works with stakeholders to scope and bound the heart of the question that will enable ADF warfighters to make changes to all or part of the fundamental inputs to capability accelerating their realisation of the benefits of NCW.

QinetiQ Consulting is proud to be an Associate member of RPDE and is an active participant through:

  • Participation in the RPDE Quicklooks and tasks as a provider of specialist advice and skills - including facilitating advice from our alliance partners
  • Participation as members of the RPDE staff team

To date we have been selected in competition with other industry participants to contribute to many challenging tasks covering a wide range of Defence functions and technologies; examples being:
